This evening is a collaboration between the Interdisciplinary Dialogue, the Office of Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion, SAMU, and Black History Month.

Artists of the Caribbean Diaspora
Join us for a diverse evening of music, dance and poetry!
The first half of the concert features classical music composed by Joseph Bologne de Saint-George, dit ‘Chevalier de Saint-Georges’ (c. 1747-1799,) performed by Jean-Marc Bétrix, Guillaume Tardif, Yue Deng & Danielle Greene, violins; Ethan Filner, viola; and Rafael Hoekman, cello.
Followed in the second half with Music, Dance, and Poetry from artists of the Caribbean and African diaspora. With Eric Awuah, Dance and Percussion; Stennie Noel, Percussion; Danielle George, Steel Pan; Noreta Lewis-Prince, Voice and Piano; Cherelle George, Dance; and Keston Gray, Dance.
When African Women Talk - Black History Month Gala
The Black History Month Gala, hosted by "When African Women Talk," is an extraordinary celebration of Black excellence, resistance, resilience, and activism. This year's theme amplifies the historical and ongoing struggles, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals and communities. It is an opportunity to honor the movements, leaders, and events that have shaped Black history while encouraging ongoing efforts toward justice and equality.

5 Artists 1 Love is a Black History Month celebration that honours the creative vibrancy within Edmonton’s Black communities.
Black Donors Saves Lives
An event to raise awareness on racial disparities across donor pools (blood, stem cell, organs & tissues), how they impact Black peoples in particular, and work that is needed to address these disparities in partnership with Black people and communities.
A night of spoken word, live music, stem cell recipient story telling and a stem cell drive.
